Problem soil resolved.

The geologist said the soil was not that bad and if we dig down a few more inches and backfill with rock and soil and bigger footings...we should be okay to go.   In the meantime, a lot of Alder branches need to be cleaned away.   Two days with my son's help, it is cleaned up.  Phew!
The next step will happen next Tuesday and Wednesday.  Dig, backfill, foundation...and a cement truck?  You are caught up to date and I hope you are interested.

Ready for the foundation or not ?

Lily, our Russian Blue kitty is helping.    It appears the soil is soft clay.  It will require an inspection by the geologist.

Next. A temporary road for big machinery.

The road is in and here comes my crew.  Picture from my trailer window.

Two Alders

With blessings, we had to take these two alders down.  They are the only two trees that could fall in the direction of my new house.
