I'm starring out this window. Hello world it's me ! (Kottonmouth Kings)

View from my kitchen window.
Gluing the floor down..... in the rain.

Floor is finished,  now to the walls.

Working the first wall on it's side.

Ready to raise

This was very exciting watching the wall go up !

wow !
2nd side

3rd side (the nook)

Finished for the day, mostly because all of the lumber
was not delivered...framers will be back Monday or Tuesday.

The sun setting through my windows.
Eventually, my view will be Vaughn Bay, the spit,
Case Inlet, the Olympic Mountains and moon and sun sets !

Background history continued...........

Now, settled in Walnut Creek, in a nice house with a swimming pool, the boy's are in school, and I begin my new full-time buying position in the Safeway Fish Buying Dept.
At this time, my job was really pretty fun. My boss, Ed Hamilton, was just a great guy (still is),
he was my boss, father, friend and confidant. He was the one to help guide me up the corporate ladder and to establish a respected place within the seafood industry. At this time there were only a few women within the industry, and for me, it was a great experience. I had the opportunity to work in fish plants, travel from Boston to St. Mary's, Alaska (find that one on the map) and work with the people, I call 'the salt of the earth,' the fishermen.
The boy's and I got through their trials and tribulations of growing up and we enjoyed the warmer/dryer climate. I joined the Wind N' Sea sailing club and learned to sail a boat. My favorite duty was to man the jib boom, and I was pretty good at it, too. Our 14 years in W.C. was full but about to change, again. My favorite boss was retiring and Safeway was moving the fish buying office to Denver, Colorado. Oh my.
I just ran across a journal entry written 20 years ago:
"I just want to go home to Vaughn, I just want to build my house,
I just want my chickens...."
